Michael Yulkin
Director General

Year of birth: 1961. Graduated from the Moscow State University named after M.Lomonosov in 1983, specialty – "Mathematical Economy". Completed the course of project analysis in the World Bank Institute in Washington (USA) in 1992-1993. Founded and is in head of Environmental Investment Center (EIC) in Arkhangelsk. Author of many articles and other publications on climate change and GHG emissions reduction. Took part in elaboration of the Russian Strategy Study on Climate Change (1998-1999). Head of RSPP (Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs) Climate Change Working Group since 2009; regular member of the Working Group on Climate Change and Sustainable Development at the Russian President’s Administration since 2013; deputy Chairman, Head of Expert (Consulting) Council of the Interregional Working Group for Development of Climate Strategy for the Russian segment of the Barents Euro-Arctic region since 2014; member of the Working Group for Economic Aspects of Environmental Protection and GHG Emissions Management at Economy Ministry of Russia since 2015.



Alexander Samorodov, PhD

Year of birth: 1972. Graduated from Arkhangelsk State Technical University in 1994, specialty – "Industrial Heat and Power Engineering" (diploma with honours). In 2001 took a professional education advanced study course in Energy Saving, Energy Survey of Industrial and Housing and Utilities Sector at Moscow Institute of Energy Safety and Energy Saving, in 2002 completed Scholarship Program for Energy Experts of Nordic Council of Ministers for the specialists on energy industry of the North-Western region of Russia, in 2010 completed Refresher Course in “Energy Saving. Energy Survey of Industrial Plants and Housing and Utility Facilities” in Moscow Institute of Energy Safety and Energy Saving, in 2013 completed the course of Professional training “Biotechnologies development” organized by Russian Engineering Academy of Management and Agribusiness (REAMA) jointly wish Swedish Institute of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering (JTI). In 1999-2009 – Senior lecturer, Associate professor at the Department of Heat and Power Engineering of Arkhangelsk State Technical University, since 2001 – specialist, later chief specialist on GHG and Energy in Environmental Investment Center. In 2001-2003 made inventory and calculation of GHG emissions at Arkhangelsk PPM and other industrial enterprises of the Arkhangelsk region, in 2004-2012 –developed of GHG emission reduction projects under the Kyoto protocol. At present heads research and development work at EIC in the sphere of energy and resource saving, energy efficiency, bioenergy, use of alternative types of fuel and energy sources including renewable ones, generation and utilization of wastes and GHG emissions reduction to provide sustainable low-carbon development and decarbonization of production.



Vladimir Dyachkov, PhD
Chief specialist, Head of GHG Emissions Monitoring and Management Department

Year of birth: 1966. Graduated from Arkhangelsk State Technical University in 1988, specialty – "Industrial Heat and Power Engineering" (diploma with honours). In 2010 took a professional education advanced study course in Energy Saving, Energy Survey of Industrial and Housing and Utilities Sector at Moscow Institute of Energy Safety and Energy Saving; in 2011 took a course of lectures in "Energy Management Systems. Standard ISO50001:2011". In 1995-2009, Senior lecturer, Associate professor at the Department of Heat and Power Engineering of Arkhangelsk State Technical University. Since 2002 ã. – specialist, later leading specialist and chief specialist at EIC. In 2002-2005 made analysis and prognosis of GHG emissions, in 2006-2012 – development and later monitoring of GHG emission reduction projects under the Kyoto protocol. At present heads the work at EIC on development of corporate monitoring systems and management of GHG emissions, estimation of GHG emissions and carbon footprint as well as development of the corresponding company reports including reports under CDP program. In 2014 elected as the Scientific Secretary of the Interregional Working Group for Development of Climate Strategy for the Russian segment of the Barents Euro-Arctic region.



Nadezhda Safonova
Chief administrative and financial officer, Russia & FSU

Graduated from Gubkin Russian State Oil and Gas University in 1988, specialty – "Applied Mathematics". In carbon business since 1999. In 1994-2006, Financial and Executive Officer at MCF Finance and Consulting Company Ltd. in Moscow and at Environmental Investment Center in Arkhangelsk. In 2007-2008, Financial Officer, then JI Manager at Camco International in Moscow. Responsible for company operations and finance as well as for liaison with designated governmental agencies concerning projects approval and issue of carbon credits.



Dmitry Shchekoldin
Principal specialist, GHG Department

Graduated from Arkhangelsk State Technical University in 2004 with a degree in "Industrial Heat and Power Engineering" (diploma with honours). In 2011 took a course of lectures in "Energy Management Systems. Standard ISO50001:2011". In 2005-2011, Design engineer of heat and fuel supply systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning. Valeria Moskvina
Translator/Interpreter

Graduated from Pomor State University named after M.V.Lomonosov (Faculty of Foreign Languages) in 2003 (diploma with honours). In carbon business since 2007. In 2003-2006, Translator at Arkhangelsk Oblast Energy Efficiency Center. In 2007-2008, Translator at Camco International. Joined CCGS in September 2008. From September 2014 Translator/Interpreter at EIC. Prepares documents and publications for CDP projects.



Yulia Schastnaya
Senior manager, HR/Translator

Graduated from Pomor State University named after M.V.Lomonosov (Faculty of Foreign Languages) in 1998. In carbon business since 2007. In 2007-2008, Translator and office-manager at Camco International. Joined CCGS in September 2008, office-manager and translator. Since January 2011, Senior manager at CCGS. From September 2014 at EIC, responsible for HR. Provides administrative support for activities within CDP projects in Russia.
